On my trip to Norfolk I came across two kiddie coasters I had previously encountered, but not ridden at other locations. One was the Sea Dragon at Rainbow Park, that used to be in Brighton, the other was this coaster, that used to be at Alton Towers. Yes, really. Alton Towers used to have a big apple coaster. It would have been there on my first ever visit, way back in 1990. Back then I didn't ride it, I had outgrown it, and had not yet discovered the joys of coaster counting, and doing rides like this for a laugh.

The presence of a ride that used to be at Alton Towers in Britain is noteworthy today. Now they have a policy of selling rides on outside the UK, so if there is an unlikely accident they are less likely to get negative publicity in the UK, such as a headline saying accident on ride, formerly at Alton Towers.

Today it offers amusement to people visiting Great Yarmouth. It's one of the most basic coasters going. It's a very popular ride due to it's compact space, low cost and appeal as a kiddie coaster. Even as a kiddie coaster though it provides a limited amount in terms in the way of thrills or excitement. If anything it seems like a waste of space at Great Yarmouth, as I feel they could get a better ride for this space. It's really one for coaster counters and kids only, and even for them it only has limited novelty.
