As
you might have gathered from the pirate joke tradition I'm not
reviewing the world's first 10 inversion coaster but a pirate ship.
Well a pirate ship style ride, there's no obvious piratey stuff
around it, so it could be another type of ship. I think it looks a
bit like a Roman galleon, which would fit in with one of the parks
exhibits.
I mentioned in the park review how impressed I was with some of the
decor, and this is a prime example. Not only does the boat itself
look impressive, but a lot of effort
has gone in to decorating the station, and the areas around it,
making the production values of this ride feel very high.
To ride it's pretty much what you'd expect from a pirate ship ride,
and this one feels very much in the average middle in terms of
thrills. It's not one of the larger more thrilling examples, which
isn't surprising for a small family park, but it's not one of the
tamer examples either. It's a fun classic thrill ride, that's not a
stand out, but still merits a go.
