The Bounce was the UK's first Shot 'n' Drop ride consisting of a square 150 ft tower with a 24 seat carriage shooting up and down it. When seated and safely secured, you're told to "Look straight ahead"... then ... WHOOOSH!!... Before you know it you've been hurled skyward to the top of the tower and you try to catch your breath.

After being lowered down and raised again slowly to the top, the second shock comes as you are accelerated downwards at full speed, giving you a thrilling feeling of weightlessness. A couple of gentler bounces and the ride is over. This is a straightforward yet superb ride with an 'ejector seat' style ascent followed by the weightless descent. Whilst having little or no theming it does have the added benefit of the fun you get every time you watch the faces of others riding The Bounce.
