This cinema
has the added bonus of having 2 films on offer, showing at various times of
the day, almost making it two different rides in one. If you look at the two
different scores you'll realise one film is
superior to the other.
It calls itself a 4D cinema, which refers to interactive special effects
like a smoke and snow machine. However I don't think these effects work very
well, all they seem to do is distract you from the film experience.
One problem the films here have is that there's no speech in them. I think
this is so the films can be shown in Legolands around the world, with anyone
visiting easily able to enjoy the film. This is apposed to the more common
method which is to do the film in English (or more accurately American) and
put up subtitles in foreign countries, I guess they haven't heard of
dubbing. The lack of speech is a major problem in the X-treme Racers film,
as it means there's hardly any involvement with the characters in the film
as a consequence. This accompanied by a plot which is basic by Saturday
mourning cartoon standards makes it feel like your watching a long pop
video, and not a particularly good one either. |
