Before I review this ride I'd just like to get something off my chest. It's a slightly off topic observation I've made about the Roller Coaster Tycoon series.

It started out with the Snowcups ride, then new rides where introduced such as the Neptune ride, the Tommy gun ride and the dinosaurs nest ride. The thing is they call these new rides but there not. There just all teacups rides a basic kids thrill ride only with different theming. There are lots of new thrill rides out there they can make, a Top Scan, A Sky coaster, a Frisbee, a Booster, a Move It or a Chaos wheel. Why do they just keep churning out variations of the same ride, why do they just keep giving us teacups rides with different theming?

Right, now that's off my chest what type of rides this then? Err, It's a teacups ride only with different theming.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!
To be fare the theming isn't that bad. It has cups made to look like Oak barrels, and has a big model spider made of Lego above it. However the teacups ride is basically a kids thrill ride, with only low level thrills, and this one doesn't seem to spin as fast as other similar rides can. It's a basic ride, with only the new theming making it stand out.

(N.B. This review was written before roller coaster tycoon 3 came out, where they actually did put in some of the new thrill rides, although the expansion pack still had a new variation on the Tea Cups as one of the new rides)
