Look N Sea Tower

Norfolk
Gardens Golf

This is a ride that suffers from mistaken identity syndrome. There are lots of rides that consist of a small tower with a pod that is bounced up and down by cables which are generally regarded as kiddie rides. To be honest I don't know much about them as I've never had the nerve to try one of them. This ride, along with quite a few others are known as spring towers and are of a different set up. You can tell by the fact they have over the shoulder restraints instead of the normal lap bars, to allow for a more intense ride.

This one is set on a large platform, so you start the ride a couple of metres above ground. This does help elevate it (pun intended) to the status of a good family thrill ride which it deserves.

The feeling it creates is that of an intense Pirate Ship. Every time the pod drops down the tower at speed has that strange feeling in your stomach at a more intense level.

If you're at Harbour Park, or you see a similar ride with the over the shoulder restraints don't be put off by believing this is just a kiddie ride, it deserves to be recognised as a good fun family ride.
