If you've been on the Vampire at Chessington you'll have some familiarity with the gimmick here. You sit in an airplane themed car that's under the track, and has some freedom to swing out on the corners. It has a much simpler layout than the Vampire, following a slow meandering route, that's a little reminiscent of the first part of a wild mouse.

How this coaster rated depends on what criteria you apply to it. If you rate it as a family coaster it doesn't rate that well. It doesn't produce enough force or a high sensation of speed needed to produce a decent level of family thrills.

If though you rate it as a plus sized kiddie coaster it does a lot better. What it lacks in thrills it makes up for in fun. Going around the track and swinging out on each corner provides a good fun experience, which is what you want a good kids coaster to do.

So overall Zooom! (did they go to Adventure Island before coming up with that name) isn't a ride to try if your after thrills, but is well worth a go if you want a bit of fun.
