It's easy to say a ride is well themed, but here here it would be a massive understatement. This ride is done with such a high level of quality, and on a large enough scale, that it wouldn't look out of place in a big money park in Florida. To find something of this calibre in a family run park in the U.K. is phenomenal.

You have to award extra points for originality as well. The ride is based around a Bavarian theme, with you riding in what looks like beer barrels. The only thing I can think of using a similar idea is an early idea for the Bubbleworks at Chessington, where someone suggested a ride based on a Bavarian brewery, but that was changed, with the beer being substituted for soda pop.

The innovation doesn't end with the theming though. At first glance this may seem like a themed set of teacups, but when the ride starts there's an innovative twist. The giant turntable you spin doesn't remain level, instead the whole thing tilts up at an angle. Not only does this add a little extra excitement as you're raised a distance above the ground, it creates some surprising bursts of g-force as your cup descends down the turntable, creating an innovative twist not found on normal teacups.

I was tempted to score this ride higher than I did, but it's mild thrill levels means I can't honestly score it any higher. Still, as a thrill ride for the younger end of the family market it's one of the best examples going.
