Unless
the helicopter ride spins at a surprisingly intense speed, or the car
ride has an area I didn't spot this is the only ride in Thomas Land,
apart from the trucking coaster, anyone above toddler age need really
consider going on. Even the Rockin' Tug style ride is a comparatively
tame example.
Despite what you might think from the name, this isn't a drop tower but
a spring tower. There's no free fall drop, instead your lifted up, and
bounced up and down by a number of cables attached to the seats.
I've
been on a few other examples of this ride, and they were all unthemed.
This one though is a good example of the Thomas Land theming, being
themed to look like a large crane, with a Thomas Land character on the
top.
Upon commencing your winched up the tower, where you start bouncing up
and down. The effect here is similar to the swing at the top of a
pirate ship, only more sharp and intense. Even without the Thomas Land
theming it's a ride you could easily think is just a kids ride. It does
look similar to a lot of kids rides you find in various parks. In
reality though, it provides enough to put it alongside lots of other
major thrill rides out there.
