I've
got a question about this rides theming. It's based around Spongebob who
lives underwater. Why then is he on a ride involving a water fight? How do
you have a water fight if you live underwater? That would be pointless as us
having an air fight. Imagine kids playing in the garden with fans to blow
air at one another, except for the kid with rich parents who has a fancy
super aerator there parents brought them, then it goes to far as someone
dumps a bucket of air on someone. Hey, maybe that's what an Avatar Airbender
does.
Back to the ride, it's a variation on the popular splash battle rides.
Instead of riding around a track with a water pistol to shoot other riders
and spectators your on round pod, on a large teacup style turntable of pods.
Not only does this take up less space than a splash battle, but it goes some
way to solving the problem of the ride loosing it's appeal on a quieter day,
as you can wait for a number of riders to get on at once, rather than just
sending one car around.
With some nice bright and colourful theming this ride looks fun, and it is
fun. It's more manic and unpredictable than a standard splash battle.
With
the way the pods turn your potential targets and threats constantly change,
meaning as long as the rides reasonably full there won't be any dull
moments. As long as you don't mind getting wet, if your looking for a ride
that will be a good laugh this has all the boxes checked. |
