Day 3: Efteling

This is part of a big square in the middle of the woods. It features this fountain. There's also a golden ball that floats in the fountain in the centre you can't see behind the spray.

We also spotted this brightly coloured dove in one of the trees.

Also in the square is this bizarre statue called The Donkey.

There a slot you can put a coin in. The Donkey the raises it's tail and a gold coloured medal then shoots out of it's bottom.

Also in this square are a number of buildings containing scenes from various fairy tales, such as Snow White.

Finally we headed to a far corner of the park to try a ride called Fata Morgana.

It's a spectacular boat dark ride with a Moroccan theme.

Here you can see some of the fabulous theming in this area.

This does strike me as Eftelings answer to Pirates of the Caribbean, and it's almost as good as it. The quality of the ride is right up there with the best of them.
