After spending most of my time in the fairground field I decided to spend some time looking around the rest of the fair. It's at this point I really got to appreciate the full scale of the fair. The fairground area I spent most of my time at barely makes up a quarter of the events area, and that's before taking in to account all the parking and camping areas around the events area. It is like a small town has been set up in the middle of the countryside.

There were a number of event fields, including this one with demonstrations of steam engines.

This field had a sheep dog display.

Another area had falconry displays, including these impressive looking eagles.

One of the nice things to find as you explored was various Caravans, where people had set up displays of their own personal collections next to them. This one displayed a large number of horse brasses.

Here there's a collection of antique laundry material.

A large collection of drinking vessels.

And the bottles the drinks come in.

This display had a large model circus.

Another shot of the circus display.
