The Great Dorset Steam Fair, 2009

The area that really made the fair stand out from the crowd was the area containing all the various sideshows, amusements and exhibitions.

This area had a number of amusement arcades, games and a few rides such as this fun house.

Also in this area was this giant geosphere.

There were also several non funfair exhibitions including this collection of different species of Owls.

The hi-light of the area though was all the funfair related exhibitions, including several musical fairground organs.

This exhibition included a number of antique penny arcade machines.

Another collection exhibition containing a collection of antique arcade machines.

One of the main things to see in the amusements area were a number of old time funfair style shows put on, such as this wall of death, featuring a motorcycle stunt show.

The main hi-light of the shows on offer was the Freak Show, this is the outside stage were they put on a show to draw people in.

Various performers put on different shows in the tent throughout the day, including this unsettling one featuring someone sticking needles into himself.

The show ended with a fire display put on by the various peformers.
