The
Eastern Discovery Tour
Day 9 |

|

One of the hi-lights of Badachu has to be this
Bobsleigh run. If your short on time, and don't mind skipping some of
the sights in the park you could do the chairlift and the bobsleigh in
an hour or two. This means you could do this and Shijingshan Amusement
Park in the same day. |
|

This was a real shock. I had read about the
bobsleigh in my guide book, but was expecting a smallish run on a small
hill. Instead I got a massive run that takes several minutes to get down
the mountain. |
|

This also rates as one of the scariest ones
I've done. Your surrounded by trees stopping you see what's ahead, and
there's a number of rocks and ledges around you to mean there's not a
soft landing. It also has some of the nastiest corners I've seen, where
it looks like you could come off if you go to fast, leading to quite a
bit of panic breaking. |
|

One of the scariest points is when the
bobsleigh goes over this narrow bridge, high in the air. All there is
between you and the edge is a thin net. |
|

Another scary part is these deceptive
meanderings in the strait, where it looks like you could come off if you
took it too fast. This point also has some of the nastier looking falls
if you do fly off. |
|

Another shot of the bobsleigh flying through
the trees. |
|

That sign sums up a lot of the course very
well. |
|

This is were you disembark at the bottom of
the bobsleigh. |
|

If you don't want to walk up you can get the
chairlift. I found the views limited, as it didn't go above tree height
at many points, but it still had some good points. |
|

At this point I'm thinking did I really walk
all that way. |
