The
Eastern Discovery Tour
Day 6 |
|
|
|

The other roller coaster at the park is this
looping coaster known simply as the Roller Coaster. This one had quite a
long wait, not because so many people wanted to ride it, but because it
was very slow loading, with only about 1 train every 5 minutes. |
|

Even if there wasn't a queue it's not one I'd
want to do repeat rides on. The restraint system feels old and
knackered, there's even a lap belt you have to thread through the
restraint to hold it in place in case the main restraint goes. Not
something I'd feel confident about using for repeat rides. |
|

Not only are the restraints dodgy, but it's a
rough ride, making it an unpleasant ride to try. |
|

A giant observation wheel which I skipped for
time. |
|

This is an aquarium style attraction. The sign
claims to be an aquarium without any fish. Hang on anyone can set one of
those up. |
|

What they mean is they have various holograms
and lighting effects representing different breeds of fish. |
|

They do have real fish as well. The theming of
the aquarium is pretty good, but the fish tanks are like something from
a pet shop. |
|

My favourite area of the aquarium was this
area with ponds containing different varieties of Goldfish. |
|

One of the several varieties of goldfish on
display. |
|

Overall I'd say Beijing Amusement park is a
park you can take or leave. It doesn't have anything to make it a must
visit park, and now I've visited it once I wouldn't worry about visiting
it again if I went to Beijing again. |
