The
Eastern Discovery Tour
Day 4 |
|
|
|

To get back down instead of hiking I used the
bobsleigh run. |
|

This is one of the best bobsleds I've ever
done. As you can see it's in a spectacular location, and is of a large
size, taking several minutes to get down. |
|

Not only is it a great location, but it's a
great layout allowing for you to reach a thrilling speed as you tear
down it. |
|

The only slight problem with it is the
popularity of it. Your unlikely to get a completely free run. I didn't
do to badly as the person in front of me was still going at a good pace. |
|

The Bobsleigh is still used quite a bit by
sightseers, (someone visiting a tourist destination, not someone who can
see in to the future) who won't go down it that fast. My advice is try
to pick a quieter period to visit, and if there's no queue give the
person in front of you a good head start. |
|

A shot of part of the bobsleigh you past on
the hike up. |
|

One of the tighter corners towards the end of
the ride. |
|

The station from which you get off the
bobsleigh. It's not a full circuit ride, so it's not one I'd count as a
roller coaster. |
|

For lunch I opted to head over to this local
trout (a speciality of the Mutianyu area) farm with a restaurant next to
it. |
|

It had some great Chinese dishes being served.
I also learnt how to use chopsticks. |
