The
Eastern Discovery Tour
Day 2 |
|
|
|

One of the main rides in the Adventure themed
area was this ride called Spinning Batman. It has the theme of you being
a bat riding around the treetops. It's an unusual coaster as well, with
the car being suspended from a single rail. It also has an enclosed
elevator style hill lift, which has been superbly themed, and does a
great job of setting the theme. I don't know if this is a Chinese copy
or an original idea, but it's a great family coaster, which would make a
good signature coaster for a lot of smaller family parks. |
|

Another ride in this area is this booster
ride, with a superb theme, of the ride being a Roman War machine. |
|

As well as a Roman themed ride this area also
has an Egyptian themed ride. Isn't this a huge contrast when compared to
all the generic boosters found in amusement parks around the country. |
|

This is another superbly themed ride in this
area. This Adventure area on it's own is good enough to be a park that
would that's worth a visit in it's own right. |
|

This area has a pirate theme, including that
large boat which is the station for a big Log Flume ride. |
|

The log flume ride reminded me a lot of Storm
Force 10, with it's orange boats, raised station and a backwards drop.
The attention to detail in the theming isn't quite as good, but it is
still a really good water ride. |
|

Another example of some of the great theming
in this area. |
|

This is a ride I stopped to do, despite being
pushed for time. It looks like a Polyp ride, one of my favourite family
thrill rides. What I didn't realise is this one doesn't have any
spinning cars so it's nowhere near as good as any of the other Polyps
I've ridden. |
|

Next to the castle is another Disney
influenced ride, the flying Elephant ride, although that's not exactly
an uncommon ride. |
|

A close up of the Disney influenced Castle. |
