The
Eastern Discovery Tour
Day 2 |
|
|
|

This rollercoaster had a loop and double
corkscrew combination, similar to the one that wasn't working at Sun
Park yesterday. This one was working, and surprised me at how fast and
thrilling a ride it was. |
|

There were quite a lot of fairground rides
like this around the park, which didn't fit in that well with the parks
theming. Hopefully they will bring the whole park up to standard in the
long term. |
|

Another very popular ride found at a lot of
Chinese amusement parks are these giant observation wheels.
Unfortunately I skipped a lot of them due to time. |
|

Speaking of things I skipped for time this is
the entrance to Dream Land. It's one of two superbly themed areas at the
back of the park. This one consists of a large number of kids and family
rides, which I spent a some time looking round, admiring the theming,
but didn't do that many rides due to not having enough time before the
park closed. |
|

As you can see a lot of effort has gone in to
theming some of the kids rides. |
|

The main attraction of the area is this Splash
Battle. I would have done this if the park had been busier, but it was a
bit too quiet to make it worth trying. |
|

Another one of the brilliantly themed rides in
this area. |
|

This is the one ride in this area I did try.
It's a great interactive dark ride with a Sci-Fi theme. When we did it
we ended up with members of staff riding with us as well, as they hadn't
had anything to do for a while. |
|

Next to the Dream Land area is another
superbly themed area, more geared towards thrill seekers with an
adventure theme. Included is this large clock tower, from what I can
tell has a drop tower ride inside it. |
|

Opposite this ride was one I forgot to get a
photo of, I really was pushing it for time at this point. It was an
enclosed coaster called the Jurassic Adventure. It was a good fun
coaster, with a great deal of effort gone in to giving the interior a
dinosaur valley style theme. |
