Coaster: B+M Dive Machine
My choice here was always a large scale looping B+M to be one of the
parks main coasters for thrill seekers. I've chosen the Dive Machine
because I think it offers a good gimmick, that hasn't been fully
explored by Oblivion in Britain. If there was a capacity or design issue
with the dive machine I would go for another large B+M looping coaster.
Major Ride: Major
Dark Ride
For this I'd want a dark ride on a large scale, to compete with the
likes of Pirates of the Caribean, themed as a trip through ancient
China. My only slight worry here is that this area would lack a second
coaster to act as a major ride. I might put a ride such as a second hand
Schwarzkopf looper at the top right.
Major Water Ride: Log Flume
To start with I had a different layout with this going out over the lake
in the same area as the Reverchon custom mouse. Then after writing a
review for the Menhir Express at Parc Asterix I realised my idea had a
similar problem, in it would fail to create a sense of immersion, so I
moved things around a little to give this it's own large space.
One idea I had was to theme the ride around a martial arts dojo with the
track going inside several buildings to see the theming, and to allow
for several types of drops like a dark drop and backwards drop. I'd also
like the ride element found on the Menhir Express where the boat travels
along a dip on steel rails before splashing in to the water.
Major Support Ride:
Huss Topple Tower
This is another ride I haven't tried, but I think will work well as a
support ride to the B+M coaster, and can be themed as a visual spectacle
for the area.
Major Support Ride: Intamin Zac Spin Coaster
A Zac Spin coaster would struggle in terms of capacity to work as a
signature coaster, and would be too small for a park of this scale.
I think though one of the 25m high versions would work well as a support
ride to the B+M coaster.
Support Rides:
For the support rides I've got a Zierer fireball to go with the B+M
coaster, and a Tivoli Remix and a Dartron Hurricane or Downdraft to
support the log flume.
Walk Through
Attraction: Chinese Gardens
Here I want a walkthrough garden area, with a Chinese theme, including
various themed statues and murals. Also in this area is a building to
act as a mirror palace as a non queuing attraction and a car ride and a
boat ride to act as family/kids rides for this area.
Kids Attractions:
There are already a few attractions for kids in the Chinese Gardens. The
main attraction here is a large kids coaster. It's reminiscent of one I
rode at the Jardin d'Acclimation in Paris, where it's a small spinning
mouse touring around an area. Here it would be going over part of the
lake.
The other kids rides would consist of a couple of simple roundabout
style rides. |
