A question a lot of
enthusiasts would have asked themselves at some point is if I was to
ever get enough money to build my own park what would I do? It's a
question I myself have dedicated a lot of thought to, thinking up ideas
for various budgets and locations. The one I'm concentrating on here is
one I would love to be able to build in the highly unlikely
circumstances of me having an almost infinite amount of money to build
my own park. This
isn't exactly my dream park, as I've designed something which I hope
theoretically work in the real world in an area with enough potential
visitors. It has been designed with a primarily British audience in
mind, for another audience it would require some tweaks of the themes
used and ride line up.
The set up is a large park, separated in to
six different themed areas. Initially I just chose the six themes I'd
most like to do, but then I realised a lot of the themes I'd chosen
represented periods of history, and decided it would be a good idea to
have every area like this to create a theme for the whole park. From
there I came up with the idea of a park themed around the Horrible
Histories books. I haven't been to strict about this, I've never seen a
book based on China for example. This is to make sure all six lands are
distinct from one another. For instance I haven't done a Roman area, as
it wouldn't necessarily be distinct enough from the Greek area, both
having classical architecture and ancient Gods.
The Horrible Histories franchise does
represent the tone and humour I'd like to use throughout the park. It's
also a popular well known franchise which would be good for selling the
park to people, especially to the family market which would hopefully be
the main target audience for this park. |
