The
Manneken Pis Tour
Day 5: Mini Europe, The Atomium
and Central Brussels. |
|
|
|

After the Atomium we headed back to central
Brussels for a spot of lunch. |
|

We also took a last chance to check out some
of the chocolate shops. |
|

We also returned back the Grande Place, which
isn't quite as spectacular by day as it is at night. |
|

It wasn't until I got back that I found out
that this museum contains a floor with all the costumes the Manekin Pis
has worn. That's a shame because I would have like to see that. |
|

Speaking of peeing statues. I'd like to say
where this statue is located, but the truth is we got a bit lost, so I
don't know where this is. |
|

Another building we found was the chocolate
museum. I had been keeping an eye out for this all week, and only came
across it accidentally with a couple of hours to go. It's just off the
Grande Place. Down a road right in the corner that goes towards the
Manekin Pis. |
|

The best part is the demonstration rooms,
where they show you how some of the handmade chocolates are made. There
are also some chocolate related exhibitions. |
|

This room looks at the science of chocolate,
apparently dark chocolate is good for you. |
|

There's also a number of sculptures which are
made out of chocolate. |
|

Finally we took one last chance to visit the
Manekin Pis before heading over to the Euro Star station to get a train
back home. |
