On day 3 of the trip we headed over to the amusingly named Plopsaland.  To reach it we got a train from Brussels to De Panne. From there it's only a short walk from the train station to the park.
If you have access to a car it's also worth remembering that this park is less than an hours drive from Calais. This makes it a very nice park to do as a day trip, or one you could combine with a shopping trip over to France for the day.

I think Plopsaland was one of the really pleasant surprises of the trip. I was expecting just a small family countryside park. Instead this park is more reminiscent of Legoland. It is owned by a Flemish TV channel, and much of it is themed around the children's shows they make. This means it is a very pleasant and a very well themed family park. It was my favourite park of the trip, and with a new power launched coaster due to open in 2009 it's one I can see myself returning to in the not to distant future.

I saw this at the train station in Brussels. It's a 24 hour vending machine supermarket. As well as snacks and drinks it also has a range of household items, you can even get toilet paper from it.

As you can see here a lot of extra decorations had been put in place for Halloween.

Another nice touch is they had brought in this ghost train from the European funfair circuit for Halloween.

This is the the main plaza area just inside the entrance. Here you can see how well themed this park is.

Here you can see another side of the plaza area.

Once through the plaza area you get to the large lake which most of the park is centred around. This is the parks biggest ride. It's a special splash boat ride known as the Supersplash. It was too early for it to be running when we first passed it so we moved on.

We moved on to a large Medieval section of the park. The Draak coaster wasn't due to open yet, and at the time the Log Flume was advertised to open a closed due to a technical problem sign was put up.

Finally we found a roller coaster that was up and running, the Rollerskater. It's a fun family coaster, with a land of the giants theme, with large household objects, including this giant washing machine the coaster goes in to.

A shot of the top of the hill lift on the Rollerskater.

A shot showing some of the intertwisting sections of track.
