There are rides that when I ride them represent a huge step forward, outdoing all comparable rides I've done before. These rides can completely redefine the standards of a genre, setting a new milestone others are compared to. Obviously there's Nemesis, the Samurai did it with thrill rides, and this one has done the same things with rapid rides.

One thing that goes a long way to doing this is the theming. It's of an exceptionally high quality that does a lot to immerse you in the ride experience.

It's not just the theming that works in this ride's favour. It maintains an exciting and fun pace throughout the ride, plus it has some good special features, such as a good section at the end where the boat follows a large circle at the edge of a whirlpool. It's a great ride that makes lots of other rapids rides seem run of the mill.
