The
theming of this ride is both unusual and original. It's a theme that sees
you surrounded by giant objects as if you've been shrunk. The fences are
themed as giant matches, you ride in a giant roller-skate, and the track
passes through a giant washing machine. I'm not sure if this is based on a
TV show on Studio 100, the Flemish equivalent of Cbeebies, like a lot of
Plopsaland's rides, or if someone just had a good idea.
Under
the great theming is a pretty standard family coaster, copies of which can
be found around the world. There's one in England at West Midlands Safari
Park and I've been on versions in Denmark and even in Egypt. My favourite is
the Egyptian one, as it's first drop is a lot more intense than other
versions, possibly due to the ride being warmed up by the heat of the
desert.
Theming aside
this ride is almost the perfect definition of a standard family coaster. The
main highlight
is
the tunnel created by the washing machine. You don't get a huge amount of
force while riding this, and it doesn't a highly thrilling level, but it
doesn't do anything badly and offers a nice fun experience. It does a good
job of offering a fun coaster for the younger end of the family market, but
it's one older visitors could happily skip if there's a long queue. |
